By default, Vista adds a text shadow effect under each icon. If you're using a background that would look better with this feature turned off, here's how:

1.Go to Start
2.Select Control Panel
3.Select System
4.Select Advanced System Settings
5.Select the Advanced tab
6.Under the Performance category, select Settings
