If you have nothing better to do today and you would like to have your Shift key on your keyboard control the speed of your Windows animation, here's how this is done:

Warning: Prior to editing the Windows Registry, be sure to either make a backup copy or create a restore point.
1.Go to Start
2.In the search field, type in: regedit
3.Press Enter
4.Navigate to the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM
 
5.Click once on the DWM entry to empty its contents in to the right pane.
6.Right click an empty area of the right pane and select "New".
7.Select DWORD from the resulting menu.
8.Name the DWORD: AnimationsShiftKey
9.Double click the new DWORD and give it a value of 1.
