What's happening is Indexing Service is crawling through all of your systems data indexing it for quick searchable access. If you don't do a lot of searches. Disable this feature. Disabling Indexing Services will boost system performance.

Follow the steps below to dsiable it:

1. Go to Start
2. Select Control Panel
3. Select Administrative Tools
4. Select Services
5. Find the Indexing Tool, click it and select Disable
6. Click OK

You can also do this:

1. Right on your C: drive, properties. Then uncheck the allow indexing.
