Unable to hear the audio in Windows Media Player 11 in Windows Vista

On a computer that is running Windows Vista, you may be unable to hear the audio from a newly connected USB audio device in Windows Media Player 11.

To work around this problem, restart Windows Media Player 11.

This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
1.The computer has speakers that are attached to the audio-out port.

2.You connect a new USB audio device after you click Stop and before you click Play in Windows Media Player 11.
Under these conditions, you hear the audio only from the originally attached speakers until you restart Windows Media Player 11.
