Windows ME displays your start menu item in two different ways.

1.Firstly, select Start, Programs, click the double arrow at the bottom of the resulting menu, and you'll see multiple columns of programs, with everything right on screen.

2. If, on the other hand, you prefer a single column, you can switch back to the old arrangement. Select Start, Settings, Taskbar And Start Menu, and click the Advanced tab. Under Start Menu And Taskbar, select Scroll Programs, then click OK. Now when you click that double arrow, you'll end up with a scrolling list of programs.
