I would like to shut off XP's Firewall because I have a conflict between Norton's and Microsoft's.

Answer:

Go to Start>> Run, type in: services.msc
Scroll down to the Windows Firewall Service and double click it.
Click the Stop button to stop the service
Set the startup type to "Disabled".
Click Apply then OK [Exit]
